We are happy to announce that AXEB Biotech has obtained the patent for a method to produce saturated dicarboxylic acids. We develop new technologies in plant nutrition and formulation technology and make efforts in agriculture research. In AXEB we are continuosly growing through our activity in research and development in order to achieve sustainable, competitive and high quality agriculture with biostimulants, plant nutrition… and projects like that.
AXEB’s improved process differs from the previous ones by getting the dicarboxylic acid with less residual charge and a lower consumption of energy. This has been a discovery that can change the method of getting polymers from more natural processes and sources. The research is aligned with the values of sustainability and respect for nature that AXEB has and implements in all its decisions, research and products.
Our CEO granted a television interview, where he emphasized that the process is completely sustainable because it not only employs a non-food raw material as ricin or other crops but it also is based on the principles of green chemistry.
Castor oil or ricin is a vegetable oil obtained by pressing the seeds of the castor oil plant (Ricinus communis). Castor oil is a colorless to very pale yellow liquid with a distinct taste and odor once first ingested. Castor oil and its derivatives are used in the manufacturing of soaps, lubricants, hydraulic and brake fluids, paints, dyes, coatings, inks, cold resistant plastics, waxes and polishes, nylon, pharmaceuticals and perfumes
In addition, Mr. Ricard Casals explained AXEB’s business lines and new projects, you can find the video that we uploaded to our Youtube channel of the television program, subtitled in English. In the following youtube link.
This 100% eco-efficient and sustainable process was presented in the “Bolsa de Barcelona”, the stock market of Barcelona, in the framework of “Financia Pime” program to an audience of potentials investors.
